What We Do

The Soil Hub provides a regional platform for information sharing about soils and climate-friendly agriculture.

We connect our community to valuable programs and opportunities such as carbon farm planning, soil health assessments, farmer-to-farmer workshops, experimental demonstrations and field trials, and various other soil health resources.

The North Coast Soil Hub network addresses region-specific needs, successes and challenges in order to support the diversity of producers farming and ranching in the North Coast. We started with the vineyard industry in 2016 and are working to include other agricultural systems across Humboldt, Lake, Marin, Mendocino, Napa, & Sonoma counties.

Field Trials and Demonstrations

The North Coast Soil Hub has supported establishment of field trials and regional demonstration sites to explore how management practices impact environmental health and model implementation of climate-friendly practices in vineyards.
